Last night's Summer Social was pure crafty madness! Thank you to all you mail lovers for coming out! It was so good to see good friends, penpals and new faces. Sipping lemonade (with hot pink striped straws) and eating mojito macarons made for a perfect summer night!
1. These American stamps! (Brought back from New York by my mom.)
2. Magic Mike.
3. Our spring trip featured in Pure Green.
4. Sweet, sweet corn on the cob.
5. Summertime patios.
Sometimes stationery finds me in the strangest spots. Like this placemat underneath my scrambled eggs and toasted sesame bagel at a luncheonette in Montreal.
I think it's neat seeing these two Red River Settlement stamps side by side. One was issued in 1961 and the other just this year. Of course I'm partial to the older one!
1. Frisbee + biking on the islands.
2. Cherries + peaches from a roadside stand in Niagara.
3. Trip prep: Bought a paddle ball set.
4. Picked two baskets of raspberries at a farm with Joey + my dad.
5. These 1967 U.S. beauties. (Thanks Sasha!)
1. To Rome With Love. A perfect Sunday matinee.
2. Read Dinner A Love Story cover to cover.
3. A bit of a break from the heatwave.
4. Dinner on our balcony.
5. Seven years wed.
Last week we spent three days in Montreal. My #2 Canadian city for sure! (Toronto, you're #1 forever..)
Luncheonettes. A skinny, sesame bagel. Pink bathroom and clawfoot tub. B + B facing the park. Streetside soccer. Cobblestones. Heavenly almond croissants. Hot, breezy, summery. Front row at Jovanotti's show. Sparkly shoes. Lovely, green, social city. And people read paperbacks!
1. Bocce and champagne on the islands.
2. Five days off. (Such a treat in the busy season.)
3. Montreal!
4. Strawberries from our garden. And strawberry gelato on College.
5. Lazing at Christie Pits Park.
