A great, big thank you goes out to Amber at Botanical Paperworks for sending me a package full of plantable cards!  Once planted the seed paper will grow wildflowers.  I can't wait to get planting!

P.S. They make confetti too!

I have found my new favourite cards:  Super rad Cinquecento letterpress cards made by Sabrina in Berlin.

The new Fiat 500 is all over Toronto lately!  Cute but not as cute as the original.

P.S. You can see my aunt's 1977 Cinquecento here!

Isle of Man stamps

My bike-loving husband discovered these Isle of Man stamps and straight-away ordered them.  Designed by Paul Smith, they're in celebration of the upcoming Olympics in London.  (Did you know this is the third time that London has hosted?)
Of course, being a bike nerd too my heart belongs to the pink bicycle.

Yesterday was a fantastic spring day.  Sixteen degrees and sunny!  Perfect for some gallery hopping and strolling with one of my dear friends.

Where has our winter gone?  I'm used to snow and boots and scarves wrapped tight.

Finally I have some more beautiful butterfly stamps!  This is the Canadian tiger swallowtail.  One fine stamp from 1988!

Christ Stopped at Eboli

"All of a sudden everyone rose and moved toward the post office.  The old woman letter-carrier appeared on the crest of the road with the sack of letters and papers that she fetched every day with a mule from the crossroad at the Sauro River where, after a series of jolts and hairpin turns, a rattling bus deposited travelers from faraway Matera to the Agri Valley.  To the post office, then, went all those who had crowded the square, to wait for Don Cosimino, a keen-faced hunchback, to open the sacks and distribute the mail.  This was the evening ceremony, which no one ever missed and in which I, too, was to participate every day the year around."

Carlo Levi, Christ Stopped at Eboli, 1945

incoming mail

This week I received: A teeny love note and diorama from Rhya and a mini letter tucked inside a glassine envelope from Jessica.  These little notes prove that letters don't have to be big to be good.

Art Canada stamps

The new Art Canada stamps are out!  My post office only received a few lick-and-stick sheets and I was lucky to scoop them up.  The international stamp looks stunning on my outgoing letters!
