I went to town writing letters on these Rifle Paper Co. notecards.  I bundled up little dot stickers and tucked them into the envelopes and sent them on their way! You can see my full blog post for The Paper Place here.

The one way that helps me get through the winter days is dreaming of spring and eating citrus fruits.  For some reason, oranges and pink grapefruits make me feel spring is on its way.  Oh, and I've recently discovered a hot ginger citrus drink at Balzac's.  It's the winter equivalent of lemonade!

Winnie-the-Pooh stamps

So.. these might not exactly be vintage as they were issued in 1996 but they sure are sweet, old stamps.  Thanks to Michelle for sending me a sheet of them last year.  I only recently came upon some more and got to making a few stamp packs with them.  They're perfect for sending cards to little ones!

airplanes + olympics

Always lurking in the bottom of my box of journal supplies are a few random stamps.  I seem to be drawn to airplane themes..  And I totally get a kick out of these olympic Soviet stamps.  Now it's time to get gluing these into my journal.

Volume two of the diamond jubilee celebration stamps was released last week.  The Queen in the sixties was ever a beauty!  Give me a purple and orange combo any day!

Happy Valentine's Day stamp-lovers!  I'm so into this American love stamp.  Aren't you?

My class is making a pasta lunch after class today.  I think there will be macarons and espresso for dessert.  Can't wait!

Wishing you all a day filled with much love!

P.S. Thanks for the sweet post Maria.

sewn hearts

To be honest, I'm not much of a seamstress.  Sure, I can mend socks and sew on missing buttons but that's about where it ends.  I'm happy to say that I sewed these tiny Valentines without any major injuries!  You can see my full guest post for The Paper Place here.

the official diamond jubilee stamp

This is the official diamond jubilee permanent stamp.  I picked up a booklet of ten stamps a few weeks ago and have been slowly warming up to them.

On a side note, when I went to mail a few letters yesterday the mailbox was full! Like, so full that it wouldn't budge an inch.  I ended up walking to the next closest mailbox to send the letters.  Is this a sign that people really are sending more mail?  I hope so!
