My to-do list lately has been bursting at the seams!  At the very top: make more stamp packs!

A Free Press

One of my favourite Saturday morning activities is reading the paper with a cup of tea.  Actually it kinda spills over into Sunday too.  (So many sections..)  My preferred paper:  The Globe.  My preferred tea:  Green.

This Free Press stamp was issued in 1958.  In love.

Keep Writing Postcards

What a fantastic project Hope has going on!  Keep Writing Postcards is all about receiving handprinted postcards with a tear-away part for you to draw and write on and then mail back.  Hope posts the responses on her blog.  Keep Writing no.31 asked about recipients' favourite hiding places.  Mine?  The darkroom.

incoming mail

Thanks to Philly, Liz, Jenn and Bruno for keeping my mailbox full and beautiful!

Picture-taking is what keeps me beyond busy.  Here's a sweet outdoor wedding and another at the Berkeley Church that we shot recently.  For a farm wedding near Picton last weekend we stayed at this little yellow cabin.  So nice to get away from the city for a few days!

Shinzi Katoh

My love affair with Shinzi Katoh stationery continues.  I scooped up this set at The Paper Place pop-up shop a few weeks ago.  I love the sender-only details like the birds on the back of the envelope where the flap will eventually be sealed.  A little more Shinzi lovin' is on Merissa's blog.

After dinner last night, while strolling along Bloor, we came across the sweetest little gift shop.  Just You Sarah & Tom carries ultra cute pencils, erasers and notebooks.  We picked out an assortment of goodies for my cousin's youngins which were then wrapped with the utmost care - complete with stickers and heart-covered ribbons!

These gorgeous little bugs were tucked into a letter from my mom.  She's always sending me a few stamps here and there.  They're part of the beneficial insects stamp set released by Canada Post over the past few years.  My favourite: the two cent caterpillar.

starry letters

I adore how summery these starry letters feel!  On holiday Monday I sat down with some bright origami paper, my trusty typewriter and art deco postage stamps.  You can see more of my starry correspondence on The Paper Place blog.  (I still can't believe that I'm guest blogging for The Paper Place!)

Sunday delivery

I'm totally down with Canadiana.  On Sunday I delivered a whole bunch of stamp packs to Kid Icarus (including some of these flag and leaf beauties).  The market was packed because it was Pedestrian Sunday.  We bumped into friends, enjoyed some sunshine and picked up cherry tarts for our afternoon Scrabble match.  I love lazy summer Sundays!
