Grannie's letter

I swear the art of handwriting is slowly being lost.  Joseph's grannie sends us lovely, long letters every few months.  Before reading the letters I just sit and stare at her script.  It's from another time.

P.S. Canada Post is now locked out across the country.  It's heartbreaking to think of all of the empty mailboxes.

  1. Uh... Canada Post employees got locked out this morning - that's not the same as striking, that's action by management.
No worries, though, they'll get legislated back to work by the sounds of it.

  5. My grandmother has beautiful hand writing as well, very flowery and feminine. Looking at it and the photo above makes me want to practice writing in cursive instead of my usual printed block letters...

  6. Hey Jaime!
Thanks very much for updating - I like letter carriers, and it was really bothering me to see how vague CPC was being about who did what in a tense situation.
    I definitely hope there's a resolution soon.

  7. I've enjoyed reading your posts and this one especially caught my eye. I absolutely love writing letters and still do exchange handwritten ones with a few friends. The handwriting here, tho' is so beautiful and reminded me of some old letters and documents that my mom and I were looking at recently and discussing how handwriting has certainly changed over the years. Thanks for sharing all of your lovely things!
