This heatwave in Toronto seems like it's endless. My favourite ways to beat it..
- Lemonade. Lots. Mixed with iced tea.
- Seek the shade. Stand under trees.
- Try to bike in the early morning.
- Watermelon. Chilled. Eaten around a pool.
- Gelato. Ice cream sandwiches. Ice pops.
- Last resort. Central air.
we didn't have central air last summer and I've vowed never to go without again. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand. Fans just don't cut it for the few weeks in the middle of the summer.
ReplyDeleteKnim, chilled watermelon sounds delicious! Hope your heatwave doesn't last much longer! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish the heat wave would hit Vancouver!
ReplyDeleteI heard that it's kinda chilly in Vancouver. Such extremes across this huge country of ours!
ReplyDeleteLemonade + Iced tea = "Arnold Palmer" and I'm obsessed with this drink this summer! It's delish.
ReplyDeleteWe're having the same heat here in MB. Oy. I am addicted to milkshakes and ice water right now.
ReplyDeletei don't love a/c, but in this oppressive heat it's become a necessity.
ReplyDeletelemonade and ice coffee are staples around these parts.
