The Spring Wedding Show

Come on down to the Drake tomorrow for The Spring Wedding Show!  Send More Mail's trunk will be filled to the brim with vintage stamp packs.  It's going to be one awesome show!

In keeping with royal fever I went out this morning and picked up these cute rubber stamps.  I'm so sappy.  I was weepy and crying watching the ceremony.  I adore Kate's dress and love that she had lily of the valley in her bouquet.

P.S. Tanya made the best hot pink goodies for the show.  Thanks T!

the royal wedding

These stamps were a delight to find in a recent purchase of mine!  They were issued by Canada Post in 1948 to celebrate Princess Elizabeth's wedding a few months earlier.

P.S. I'm not planning on waking up at 5:00am tomorrow to watch the nuptials but I am dying to see the dress!

stamps..

I've been keeping busy at my "work station" all day - sitting on pale purple silk cushions at my stamp-covered coffeetable.  (Tea in hand, of course!)  The sun is shining and the predicted thunderstorm is nowhere to be seen.

Don't you just love Caroline's pale pink envelope?

Thanks to the gals at One Language in New York for the post!

guest blogging

My very first guest blog post is on The Paper Place blog today!  I had a ton of fun writing these letters.  Can't go wrong with translucent wax paper envelopes, pretty patterned papers and boat stamps.

My super talented friend Rhya sent me a little package last week.  It was an envelope filled with hand-drawn birds, clouds and other cute bits.  She's made some other envelope dioramas including owls and these sweet bears.  Thanks Rhy!

Thank you for all of the Postal Kit love yesterday!  The edition sold out by last night.  Amazing!

I'm in love with including grids of low denomination stamps in my packs lately. How about this 4 cent flower?

The Postal Kit

This project has been in the works for a while now.  Tanya is one of my inner-city penpals and a very crafty girl. We've put together a sweet little mail bag filled to the brim with letterpress printed postcards and stationery, vintage stamp packs, stickers and a pencil - everything you need for portable and pretty letter-writing!

There are only twelve Postal Kits available for purchase in the Snap + Tumble pop-up shop.  The shop opens today at 2:00 pm EST.

Aries stamp

Canada Post has just issued the first in the zodiac series of stamps.  Aries! Seems a perfect fit for this Deadweight postcard.

Spring has sprung folks!  The sun is shining, my bicycle is getting lots of action and the daffodils I bought yesterday are opening up!
